The Börger hand-trolley pump is a compact mobile unit on a wheeled frame with a handle for moving it by hand. It is the solution for prompt liquid transfer where fixed equipment cannot be installed: tank servicing, emergency work at remote sites and repair operations in confined access.
Design and operating principle
The unit is built around a Börger rotary positive-displacement pump with two synchronously rotating lobes. The pump is self-priming — it lifts liquid from up to 7 metres without pre-filling. Reversible operation allows the flow direction to be changed without re-routing the hoses.
The drive is an electric motor or an internal-combustion engine depending on the application. A wheeled frame with pneumatic or solid tyres gives mobility over rough ground and stability in operation. The unit's dimensions allow it to be moved through narrow passages and set up in hard-to-reach places.

Where it is used
The hand-trolley pump is in demand in the oil and gas industry — for pumping well fluids and oil sludge out of receiving tanks, during pipeline repairs and when servicing tank farms. In municipal services — for emptying grease traps, septic tanks and storm-water sumps. In the food industry — for moving viscous products between process vessels. In agriculture — for pumping liquid manure and silage when loading vehicles.
Advantages of the hand-trolley version
Unlike fixed pumps, the mobile version lets a single unit serve several sites. Compared with trailer-mounted and self-propelled solutions it wins on cost and needs no towing vehicle. Börger's MIP (Maintenance in Place) design makes it possible to replace worn rotors and seals on site without dismantling the pump.
To protect the pump against clogging by large or fibrous solids we recommend fitting an upstream Börger industrial grinder.
Selection and configuration
The configuration is chosen to suit the liquid parameters, the required capacity and the operating conditions. Versions are available with a 220/380 V electric drive and with a petrol engine for off-grid work.
